The 85/15 turkey is not as healthy as the 90/10 ground beef from a calorie and fat comparison. In fact, the ground turkey had a lot more calories and fat. Any weight watcher recipe posted on this site you can sub ground beef or ground turkey. I have tried the ground turkey that is 90/10 and it does not have much flavor. Is there a benefit to eating ground turkey over ground beef? Fiction...Check the labels sometime ground turkey can have 17+ grams of fat!! The reason...they ground the skin in highter fat content...
WOW FOODIES! My first blog, I have waited a year to see this come to life. One of the most talked about topics is if you should eat fruit on an empty stomach - fact or fiction...hmmm! Let me clarify the topic,...The human digestive system handles all food combinations very efficiently. As foods are broken down during digestion into their various components, they pass into the small intestine where naturally occurring bacteria are present. Sometimes these bacteria will act upon certain compounds in fruits and vegetables and give you gas. However with the fruit fermenting or in what combination the food was eaten. In fact, most nutrients from foods are best absorbed when eaten in combination with other foods. Bottom line....FICTION!!
